Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular in-wheel motor unit capable of narrowing axial dimensions of a space portion between a case side vertical wall and a hub side flange portion side, while ensuring a maintenance property.SOLUTION: A vehicular in-wheel motor unit couples a driving output shaft 10 from a driving unit body A and a wheel hub shaft 70 supported by a hub bearing 71 to an axle case 72 of the driving unit body A through a displacement absorbing mechanism B. On the axle case 72, a case side flange portion 72b opposing to a hub side flange portion 70a through a space portion 140 is provided. At a part of the axle case 72, a working groove portion 72c is formed, which has depth for separating a head portion 75a of a wheel bolt 75 to a bolt insertion hole 70f until a shaft portion 75b completely comes off from the bolt insertion hole 70f, when attaching/detaching the wheel bolt 75.
