Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a conventional vehicular light guide member and a vehicular lamp device, it is difficult to emit light to the outside efficiently.SOLUTION: A light guide member 3 of the invention guides light by utilizing total reflection. The light guide member has an incident surface 30 at one end face, an emission surface 31 at one side face, and a reflection surface 32 at the other side face. The reflection surface 32 is composed of a plurality of ellipsoidal reflection surfaces which are continuously formed in a light guide direction. As a result, the light guide member can efficiently emit light which is reduced in loss to the outside by means of the ellipsoidal reflection surface 32.
