Abstract:
To enable formation of an additional light distribution pattern for a high beam in a plurality of types of irradiation patterns with a compact configuration, in a vehicular lighting fixture which is configured so as to selectively perform low beam irradiation and high beam irradiation.SOLUTION: A vehicular lighting fixture is configured in such a manner that an additional light distribution pattern for a high beam is formed by making light from a plurality of light emitting units 30 incident into a projection lens 12. At that time, the plurality of light emitting units 30 are configured so as to light individually in a state where they are arranged in parallel in a longitudinal direction below a rear side focus F of the projection lens 12. Then, the additional light distribution pattern is formed by simultaneously lighting the plurality of light emitting units 30, and the light distribution pattern for a high beam is formed. Also, by selectively lighting one part of the plurality of light emitting units 30, the additional light distribution pattern in which one part of the additional light distribution pattern is missing is formed, and an intermediate light distribution pattern is formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
