To provide a combination meter 1 having a novel visibility with good appearance by devising the method of constituting and actuating a light transmittivity-variable member, i.e., a dimmer membrane 20 disposed in front of an indicator panel 10 (driver side).

A dimmer membrane 20 being a light transmittivity-variable member is pasted on the inside of a cover glass 3 disposed on the front of an indicator panel 10 (driver side) so as to cover the entire surface of the panel 10, and the membrane 20 is composed of a plurality of light transmittivity- variable members, i.e., dimmer members 21, 22, 23. A controller 30 individually controls the transmittivity of each dimmer member 21, 22, 23, so that the visibility of the panel 10 is not varied at a fixed rate over the entire panel 10 as in the prior art but can be gradually varied with partly leaving delay times, resulting in that a combination meter 1 having a novel visibility with good appearance can be provided.
