To solve a problem that a component such as a spring constituting an engagement preventive mechanism for preventing engagement of a parking pole with a parking gear while a vehicle runs is continuously subjected to excessive centrifugal force during the high-speed run at high running speed due to the structure of the engagement preventive mechanism; and the components such as a spring must be formed of a material and in a shape capable of sufficiently withstanding the excessive centrifugal force even when they are continuously subjected thereto, and an increase in cost has been inevitable.
A vehicular parking device has an engagement preventive unit 15 for preventing engagement of a parking pole 13 with a parking gear 12 when the driving force is transmitted, and a stopper 18 for limiting the displacement of an urging member 16 for urging and keeping the engagement preventive state of the engagement preventive unit 15.
