Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve availability of the space in the rear of a seat by decreasing the longitudinal width occupied with a seat back part and a suspension mechanism.
SOLUTION: In a seat back frame 4, a bent part 4b bent rearward and extending diagonally up is provided on the upper part. A seat back 16 fixed on the whole surface of the seat back frame 4 is formed into a thin wall shape by skin integral foaming. A main frame 2 composed of the seat back frame 4 and a seat part frame 3 is supported to a seat supporting member composed of a seat track 5 as a horizontal supporting part arranged below the seat part frame 3 and to be fixed on the upper surface of a vehicle, and a pedestal frame 7 extending rearward and diagonally up from the rear end of the seat track 5 through a suspension mechanism 11. The suspension mechanism 11 and the pedestal frame 7 are approximately housed in a space formed behind the seat back frame 4 and below the bent part 4b.
