To provide a ventilation structure of a building capable of ventilating the inside of the building efficiently and forming a comfortable living environment in even summer.
In this ventilation structure of a building, an upper edge 41a of an opening part 41 formed in a wall 40 between a space on a skip floor 30 and a room 13 on the lower story and a ceiling 12 of the room 13 on the lower story are flush, a handrail 43 provided with a coping 43b at such height that forms a predetermined clearance 42 between the upper edge 41a of the opening part 41 and it is installed in the opening part 41, and an opening part 33 for ventilation communicating an upper part of the space on the skip floor 30 and the outside mutually is provided in the upper part of the space on the skip floor 30. Consequently, the warm air collected near the ceiling of the room on the lower story can be smoothly discharged into the space on the skip floor through the clearance without causing any trouble, and the warm air collected in the upper part of the space on the skip floor can be discharged to the outside through the opening part for ventilation.
