To provide a device capable of photographing a collation area and collating it with a registered image without preparing the registered image for each model of a portable terminal.SOLUTION: A collation image capturing device 22 includes a light source unit 22a, a camera unit 22b that receives light emitted from the light source unit 22a and reflected by a collation area of a target object 10 to acquire a captured image of the collation area, and a processor. The processor uses the captured image to detect the positional relationship between the light source unit 22a and the camera unit 22b, and uses the positional relationship to notify a result of collation between the captured image and a registered image prepared in advance. In addition, the processor displays, on a display unit, a guide indicating the positional relationship between a bright spot portion of the light source unit 22a and the collation area in the captured image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
