To provide a collation method or the like that suppresses an increase in computational resources, in identifying a moving object appearing in an imaging range, as a main purpose.SOLUTION: From area correspondence information including each of a plurality of areas determined in advance within an imaging range and corresponding areas which are any of the plurality of areas and are associated with the respective areas, the corresponding area associated with the area in which a first moving object is present, among the plurality of areas, is selected. From moving object information including an area in which a second moving object is present, among the plurality of areas, and the feature quantity of the second moving object, which is extracted when the second moving object is present in the area and associated with the area, the feature quantity corresponding to the selected corresponding area is acquired. The acquired feature quantity is collated with the feature quantity of the first moving object extracted when the first moving object is present.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
