Abstract:
To verify the correctness of a travel distance even while concealing position information.SOLUTION: A verification system 9 has a vehicle 1 and a verification device 2. The vehicle 1 calculates, for every point during travel, a commitment value generated from position information on the point for committing the position information, acquires a travel distance from an odometer for every point, records the commitment value and the travel distance in association with each other in a block chain 3 for every point, and transmits, to the verification device 2, the distance between two points calculated from the respective pieces of position information on the two points. The verification device 2 reads out the travel distances and the commitment values of the vehicle 1 at the two points from the block chain 3, verifies the distance between the two points transmitted from the vehicle 1 based on information on the distance between the two points calculated from the commitment values, and when succeeding in the verification, verifies a travel distance value calculated from the travel distances at the two points based on the distance between the two points.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
