PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical crusher capable of reducing an internal powder layer differential pressure by reducing solid fuel that circulates inside.SOLUTION: A vertical crusher 1 comprises a crushing table 4 for crushing biomass, a discharge port 8 provided above the crushing table 4 and discharging the crushed biomass to the outside, a cylindrical hopper 9 located above the crushing table 4 and under the discharge port 8 and extending in a vertical direction, an air supply duct 3 for supplying carriage air for passing the biomass crushed by the crushing table 4 through outside the hopper 9 and the upper end of the hopper 9 to carry it to the discharge port 8, and a flow passage partition plate 37 extending inwardly in the radial direction from the upper end of the hopper 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
