PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical mill which enables improvement of the crushing efficiency of crushing rollers and prevents occurrence of abnormal vibration during crushing.SOLUTION: A vertical mill rotatably rolls crushing rollers 16 on a rotary table 14 through a crushing material to crush the crushing material. Shield plates 50 which protrude from a side periphery of the rotary table 14 to the crushing rollers 16 are provided between the rotary table 14 and an annular passage 40 of hot air supplied from below the rotary table 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
