To provide a vertical crusher capable of highly efficiently crushing a material, with a separator having high classification precision and almost free from a mill differenetial pressure.
This vertical crusher is equipped with a crushing roller and a rotary table, so that a supplied material is crushed between the upper face of the rotary table and the peripheral face of the crushing roller by applying a specified crushing pressure to the crushing roller. In addition, the crusher is equipped with a rotary separator 3 for classifying a crushed material on the top, and the rotary separator 3 is composed of a rotor 13B rotating around a vertical shaft, a means for rotating the rotor 13B and classifying blades 13A arranged at an equal interval on the outer periphery of the rotor 13B. Each of the classifying blades 13A is formed of a flat plate or a bent plate having the flat plate arranged along the center of rotation as viewed from a planar angle, and is gradually widened in diameter from bottom to top. In addition, the width of the flat plate is gradually smaller from bottom to top.
