The vertical deflection circuit boosting a power source voltage used for an IC to utilize for a power source voltage in the fly-back period of a vertical output signal is provided with a vertical output circuit 12 amplifying the input signal of a sawtooth wave to supply a deflection current to a vertical deflection coil 13, a power source 14 applying the voltage to the vertical output circuit, a first pump up circuit 17 boosting the voltage from the power source 14 and a second pump up circuit 18 boosting the output voltage of the first pump up circuit 17. In the fly-back period of the vertical output signal, the vertical output circuit 13 is operated by the voltage from the second pump up circuit 18 and in a sweeping period, the vertical output circuit 12 is operated by the voltage from the power source 14.
