PURPOSE: To provide a system which requires only very easy operation thereof when safely escaping to the outside from a high place such as a veranda, a window, or a rooftop of a building of several stories, and furthermore, which is very convenient when packed, carried and stored, and very low-priced.

CONSTITUTION: In the upper part of a trunk 1 to be gripped by both hands and both feet, a main body 7 of an escape system has a reel 6 with a rotary axis 4 to which a stopper 5 is connected for stopping the rotary axis 4 for each specified number of rotations. Around the rotary axis 4 of the reel 6 of the main body 7, one end of a strong and properly long thin cable is wound in such a manner as to permit free winding and unwinding. To the other end of the cable 8, a connecting hook 9 is attached for being connected to a connecting member such as a hand rail, a pillar, or a leg of a piece of furniture, installed on a veranda, a window, a rooftop, or the like of a building of several stories.
