Title:
VERTICAL PARALLEL INTERLOCKING TYPE WIND TURBINE GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010285963
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve a problem regarding a poor efficiency occurring when two wind turbine sections are arranged in parallel and rotated in positions close to each other to an extent that the blades do not come into contact, taking into consideration prevention of contact between the blades, and air current from each wind turbine section acts as load against high speed rotation of the blades.

Two wind turbine sections are provided on the left and right, wherein M pieces of blades (M being an integer from 2 to 4) are attached to an upper portion of a vertical shaft of each wind turbine section and a gear is attached to a lower portion thereof. The wind turbine sections are arranged in parallel such that respective blades are not in contact, but are overlapping and meshed with each other. The gears on the vertical shafts of the wind turbine sections are connected by a timing belt, and a generator is connected to the timing belt. The wind turbine sections are rotated in reverse, synchronized such that the blades of the left turbine section and the blades of the right turbine section do not come into contact, and the drive force thereof is used to generate power.
