Abstract:
To provide a vertical type dynamo-electric machine capable of positively realizing promotion of compactness and high reliability.
This vertical type dynamo-electric machine, which is used by mounting brackets 6, 7 on the upper and lower portions of a frame 1, vertically retaining a rotor shaft 5 by a bearing 80 on its upper end side and a bearing 90 on its lower end side, and connecting a load 90 to the lower end of the rotor shaft 5, uses a thrust auto-aligning roller bearing as the bearing 90 on its lower end side (the load side) and an ordinary ball bearing as the bearing 80 on its upper end side (the non-load side).
