Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vessel for transportation for enriched uranium which is not radiated yet which adapts to a new standard of NRC and IAEA.
CONSTITUTION: A test port 36 is positioned in a part between O-rings 42 and is constituted by a port which passes through a closing lid 16 to enable a test for judging whether a leakage occurs or not after the closing lid 16 is fixed on an inner vessel 14 by using bolts. The closing lid 16 is provided with a handle 52 so that the handle 52 enables the arrangement of the inner vessel 14 inside an outer vessel or the work in which the inner vessel 14 is taken out from the outer vessel remotely.
