Abstract:

A ship setting a small duct of the present invention includes a propeller 10 and a duct 20, a propeller load condition of the ship's hull 1 in an actual sea is set to 1.0 or more and a vortex resistance of the ship's hull 1 in the actual sea is set to 10% or more, the duct 20 is a small duct, and a diameter Ddin of the duct 20 is set to 20% or more and 50% or less of a diameter Dp of the propeller 10. According to this, in an actual sea where a propeller loading is increased, cavitation is suppressed, and a load distribution of the propeller 10 in its radial direction which governs efficiency is optimized by using interference with respect to the small duct 20.
