Title:
VIBRATING LIQUID LEVEL DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3885683
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrating liquid level detector for detecting the amount of liquid remaining in a container with a sophisticated shape of a vibration member.
SOLUTION: A vibration plate 2 is formed to be gradually narrowed in width downward of a fuel tank 40 between piezoelectric elements 4 and 5 while propagation velocity of vibration on the vibration plate 2 is decreased downward of the fuel tank 40. This makes a relation nonlinear between a liquid level L and an output signal level S of a fuel level gage 1. Since such a relation can be brought in line with a relation between the level L and the remaining fuel amount R, the fuel amount R in the tank 40 can be detected by the level gage 1.
