Title:
VIBRATION CONTROL WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3831160
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism following after the outward deformations of a vibration control wall fixed with the wall type container of a viscous wall damper in an erected state on the lower-floor structure of upper and lower- floor structures generating interlayer deformations at an earthquake.
SOLUTION: The wall type container of the viscous wall damper formed by inserting a resistance plate into a viscous body in the wall type container is fixed in an erected state on the lower-floor structure of the upper and lower- floor structures generating interlayer deformations at the earthquake. The upper end of the resistance plate is connected to a horizontal upper fitting beam, and both ends of the upper fitting beam are supported by a travel mechanism traveled with low resistance along a rail installed on the upper-floor structure toward the outside of a wall face so as to transfer the horizontal force in the wall face direction and to follow after the horizontal deformations in the outward direction of the wall face.
