Abstract:

PURPOSE:To obtain the title film which has excellent damping properties, high adhesion to other metals and high heat resistance by using a specific acrylic resin and an epoxy resin. CONSTITUTION:The subject film is composed of (A) an acrylic resin which is a copolymer from (i) 5 to 85wt.% of (meth)acrylonitrile or a mixture thereof, (ii) 60 to 90wt.% of ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate or their mixture and (iii) 2 to 10wt.% of (meth)acrylic acid or itaconic acid or their mixture and (B) an epoxy resin such as a bisphenol-A type of 180 to 2,000g/eq epoxy equivalents. The damping material composed of the component A and the component B is preferably laminated on the metal to produce a damping metal composite material.
