To obtain a vibration-damping material which can exhibit vibration- damping performances even in a low-frequency region such as that of earthquake waves and having a small temperature dependency of vibration-damping performances by using a rubber composition comprising an epoxidized liquid polysulfide rubber, a liquid polysulfide rubber and/or an epoxidized liquid butadiene rubber, and a curing agent.
This material is made from a rubber composition comprising, desirably, 100 pts.wt. epoxidized liquid polysulfide rubber; desirably, 50-150 pts.wt. liquid polysulfide rubber and/or, desirably, 10-500 pts.wt. epoxidized liquid butadiene rubber; and, desirably, 0.75-1.05 equivalents, per equivalent of the epoxy groups of the rubber composition, of a curing agent. The curing agent is desirably an amine compound, which is exemplified by diethylenetriamine, 2-ethyl-4-methylimidazole, or a modified polyamine.
