Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can suppress a vertical supporting force of which a laminated rubber takes charge even when a large earthquake has arisen and hence, which does not require to install a laminated rubber isolator with a large supporting area because of previous expectation of a large deformation and prevents a resonance with an earthquake.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with a pair of lower plate 30 and intermediate plate 31 vertically facing each other, steel plates 32, 32 arranged between the lower plate 30 and the intermediate plate 31, and rubber pieces 33, 33 alternately laminated between the plates 32 at the four corners. A vertical cylindrical columnar body 37 for supporting the vertical load is fixed under the center of the intermediate plate 31. A low frictional block 39 is fixed at the front end of the lower part of the columnar body 37. The lower end face of the low frictional block 39 is positioned to face the upper face of the lower plate 30 with a clearance. The clearance therebetween is so little that both faces get into contact with each other when the distance between the lower plate and the intermediate plate becomes small at a large earthquake. The upper face of the lower plate 30 is machined to form a mirror face and the low frictional block 39 slides smoothly on the upper face of the lower plate 30, when a large earthquake has arisen.
