Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolator which can prevent an elastic material press fitted into a bracket cylinder from falling off from the bracket cylinder and which can be efficiently produced at a reduced cost.
SOLUTION: Both end surfaces 12A and 12B of a bracket cylinder 12 of this device are held by a pair of side plates 22 of a bracket metal fitting 20. The curved surface 32C of each side plate 22 protrudes toward the center axis S from the inner circumferential surface of the bracket cylinder 12 to be opposed to the side surface of a pressure-contact part 26 of an elastic body 18. Therefore, the movement of the elastic body 18 in the axial direction is blocked by the side plates 22 even when external force along the center axis S is applied to the elastic body 18 press fitted into the hollow bracket 14 of the bracket cylinder 12, so that the elastic body 18 will not fall off from the hollow part 14 of the bracket cylinder 12.
