Title:
VIBRATION RESISTANT BASE HAVING BASE ISOLATION FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1194014
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a vibration resistant base having a base isolation function which can cope with intensive eartuquake, with a low manufacturing cost.

A movable frame 16 is horizontally movably supported to a fixed frame 12, while a damping table 18 is supported to the movable frame end the fixed frame by means of horizontal actuators A1 to A4 and vertical actuators A5 to A8. Acceleration of the vibration resistant table 18 is suppressed by controlling the actuators based on an output of an acceleration sensor, for eliminating minute vibration of the vibration resistant table 18 up to the first specified acceleration value. The vertical actuators are connected to the vibration resistant table 18 by means of a horizontal sliding mechanism. When horizontal acceleration is applied to the fixed frame 12, which acceleration is not less than the second acceleration value greater than the first acceleration value, the movable frame 16 is displaced from the fixed frame 12. Base isolation is performed by a resetting and damping means resetting and damping its displacement.
