To provide a vibration source probing system for detecting the surface waves of vibration propagating to the ground or floor surface or the like of a building and for specifying and displaying a vibration source in a factory or a road.
A vibration source position is estimated from the difference in the arrival times of the output signal for indicating the time series waveform of surface wave vibration detected by a pair of vibration sensors (11, 12) arranged with each specified distance and the differences in the arrival time of the output signal of a pair of vibration sensors (13, 14). The image of a position near the estimated vibration source position is gathered by a camera 15 for displaying the estimated vibration source position on the image displayed on the display screen of a personal computer 20.
