PURPOSE: To provide the video camera equipment able to monitor a range at which a specific hue detection signal is obtained on a monitor screen even when the video signal is used for other application.
CONSTITUTION: A camera section uses a monitor 16d to apply orthogonal biphase modulation to a luminance signal Y and a specific hue detection signal SPD and a modulation signal SRF 3 is sent to a camera control unit 18 via a cable 17. A modulation signal SRF 3 separated by a branching filter 18a on the side of the unit 18 is demodulated by a demodulator 18c to obtain a luminance signal Y and a detection signal SPD. A sum signal (Y+SPD) is used for a monitor video signal and a white level image is displayed on the monitor screen in a range where the detection signal SPD is obtained and the range from which the detection signal SPD is obtained is monitored on the monitor screen. The unit 18 uses the sum signal (Y+SPD) for the monitor video signal and the luminance signal Y is used for other application, then even when the luminance signal is used for other application, the range at which the detection signal SPD is obtained is monitored on the monitor screen.
