To send data to all equipments taking part in a conference at a low cost without involving a multi-point video conference control unit(MCU) by allowing each point conference equipment to receive voice and image data to be sent, to send the data to a succeeding equipment through switch control and repeating the processing above.
A multi-point video conference equipment 10 makes dialing to a telephone number in which a line control section 26a of a multi-point video conference equipment 20 takes a part according to a conference participation terminal telephone number registration list. The multi-point video conference 20 uses a microprocessor section 25 to confirm whether or not a received setup signal is registered in a memory and makes a connection. Similarly the line control section 26a of the multi-point video conference equipment 20 starts connection to a multi-point video conference equipment 30. Thus, each multi-point video conference equipment receives voice image data to be sent via an ISDN line 2 and displays the data on a monitor 34 and sends the data to a succeeding equipment via other ISDN line 2 under the control of a switch section 27. The data are sent to all equipments taking part in the conference at a low cost without an MCU by repeating the processing above.
