To obtain a higher sense of presence and eye contact between attendants by keeping the continuity between the presence image of the remote conference attendants displayed by a first monitor arranged in a work space and the common space image at a remote place displayed by a second monitor simultaneously.
Monitors 105, 115 and cameras 125, 130 in a medial examination room 100 display videos from the cameras 135 and 140 of a work station 150 and supply videos to monitors 110 and 120. Controllers 180, 190 in both rooms form communication channels for transferring the videos and sound signals between the cameras and monitors in both rooms and they are controlled by a computer interface 155 usable as a computer. The controllers 180, 190 continuously transmit/receive attendance images in the respective rooms and the zoom-up videos of the diseased parts of patients are obtained by a remote operation. Thus, atmosphere that both attendants of a video conference exit in the place is more enhanced.
