Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correct horizontal distortion of a raster.
CONSTITUTION: A video display device conducting distortion correction of a raster is provided with cathode ray tubes 100, 200, 300 to which a deflection coil for raster generation is fitted. A deflection signal amplifier 70 is coupled with a deflection coil and a deflection current is generated in the deflection coil. A correction wave modulator 65 is coupled with the deflection signal amplifier and a 1st correction current is generated in the deflection coil. An auxiliary coil is fitted to the cathode ray tube for distortion correction of a raster. Auxiliary coil drive amplifiers 110, 210, 310 are coupled with auxiliary coils, and a 2nd correction current is generated in the auxiliary coils. A 1st correction signal is coupled with a waveform modulator to generate a raster distortion correction signal around a 1st, raster, the 2nd correction signal is coupled with the auxiliary coil drive amplifier to generate a raster distortion correction around an end opposite to the 1st raster end.
