Abstract:
PURPOSE: To control the variation range of a screen grid voltage with high precision.
CONSTITUTION: A D/A converter 201 receives a digital control signal VBUS and generates an analog signal VOUT. The signal VOUT and a high voltage U are coupled with a screen grid voltage VS-generating circuit 200 through resistances R2 and R1. A couple of transistors Q2 and Q3 form a differential amplifier. The base voltage of the transistor Q2 is set to a nearly intermediate point of the signal VOUT, and the screen grid voltage VS is generated at the connection terminal 200a of resistances R1 and R8. The resistances R1, R8, and R2 determine a minimum value that the voltage VS can possibly have and this minimum value is generated, when the signal VOUT is 5 V, i.e., at the upper limit of the voltage variation range.
