Generated luminance signal Y is input into a dimming detection circuit 33 to operate an element shutter function to make the luminance average value coincide with the luminance target value. A warning control signal C is output to a warning output circuit 34 when the shutter speed is faster than the shutter speed threshold value and warning letters 41 are displayed on a monitor screen 6A for giving warning to the operator to protect the subject against heat.
