To provide a device capable of securing a plurality of displayed screens requried for displaying diferent contrents on a monitor display screen whose aspect ratio is 4:3, at the same time and to display the images displayed on the monitor whose aspect ratio is 4:3 as split images the aspect ratio of which is 16:9 efficiently without gaps.
A display screen of a display section 40, whose aspect ratio is 4:3, is divided without gaps into a plurality of display screens 41-46 whose aspect ratio is 16:9 video signals received corresponding to the display screens 41-46 are converted into digital signals and stored temporally in memories 17, 20, 24, 28, 32. Image data are sequentially read from each image memory, in matching with a display timing on the display section 40 based on a memory read timing control signal 35A from a read timing control circuit 35 and a memory read clock RCK from a synchronizing signal generating circuit 34, and the images are displayed on the display screens 41-46 at the same time.
