To solve problem that a conventional video information reproducing device such as a video camera has difficulty of freely selecting contents by a method using a PC against the limit on the number of buttons on the video camera and the need of a simple operating method such as holding the video camera by one hand and operation by the other hand and there is a lack of the concept of designated and succeeding contents by the PC because files are independently in existence in the PC against the needs of a simple selection of a reproduction method of reproduction of designated and succeeding contents or only designated contents.
The video information reproducing device is provided with a thumbnail display means that displays thumbnail pictures on an output video image at the same time, a thumbnail selection cursor used to select an optional thumbnail picture on the thumbnail display image, and a selection button that is used to select a mode of reproducing designated thumbnail and succeeding pictures or a mode of selecting a single or a plurality of thumbnail pictures.
