PURPOSE: To improve picture quality by a simply-constituted circuit by providing a limiter circuit to a video output circuit which is restricted most by a dynamic range, and then by setting the range making the most of the dynamic range.

CONSTITUTION: A luminance signal processed by video amplifier circuit 2 is supplied to respective emitters of video output transistors Tr10, Tr20 and Tr30 of video output circuits 100, 200 and 300 through grounded-collector video amplifier 3, and a color difference signal processed and demodulated by a color-signal reproducing circuit is supplied to bases of Trs10, 20 and 30, thereby outputting primary color signals R, B and Y from output terminals 17, 27 and 37. Among driver circuits for those primary colors, a limiter circuit composed of Zener diode 19 is connected to the base of Tr10 and the output side of Tr3 of circuit 100 which is restricted most by the dynamic range, and the white peak is limited by limiting the voltage waveform to increase visual definition, thereby improving picture quality.
