Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the video receiving circuit which enables a high-vision/ NTSC converter incorporated in the television receiver to be utilized even for other high-vision equipment.
CONSTITUTION: The video receiving circuit of the television receiver is equipped with a MUSE/NTSC converter 7, an input terminal 9 for connecting external MUSE equipment, a changeover switch 6 which switches and connects the MUSE signal from a BS tuner 4 and the MUSE signal from the input terminal 9 to the MUSE/NTSC converter 7, a changeover switch 10 which switches and outputs the NTSC signal from a U/V tuner 2 and the NTSC signal from the MUSE/NTSC converter 7, and an output terminal 12 for leading out the output of the MUSE/NTSC converter 7.
