To provide a video recording device with a means to avoid such inconvenience as overlapping of recording times of program recordings as much as physically possible and make it possible to execute all the program recordings when the airtime of a television broadcast program is changed and thereby a recording finish time of a television broadcast program now being recorded or set for program recording is delayed and therefore the recording time overlaps that of the other program recording.

When a television broadcast program is recorded for a changed airtime by using the same television tuner as that for recording the television broadcast program for an original airtime before change, if the television tuner to be used for the other recording is occupied, the television broadcast program is recorded for the changed airtime by using the other available television tuner. After finishing the recording, the content of the television broadcast program for the original airtime before change and that for the changed airtime, which have been recorded by a different tuner and stored as a different file, are combined.
