PURPOSE: To prevent the deposition of solids on a metal mold during molding by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with hydroxystearic acid in addition to a tin stabilizer, an inorg. filler, a lubricant, and calcium stearate.

CONSTITUTION: A vinyl chloride resin is compounded with hydroxystearic acid, in an amt. of 0. 1-1wt.% of the resin, in addition to an organotin stabilizer, an inorg. filler, a lubricant, and calcium stearate. An inorg. filler precoated with 5-40wt.% (based on the filler) hydroxystearic may be used. Hydroxystearic acid improves the compatibility with the filler, preventing plate-out phenomenone, i.e., the deposition of solids at the tip of a metal mold during molding.
