Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled composition of high stability in a heated state regardless of the presence or absence of shear stress, by blending a vinyl chloride polymer and a copolymer from maleic acid monoester, etc., and olefin.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by blending (A) 100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride polymer (pref. with an average polymerization degree 200W4,000; in the case of a copolymer, the comonomer content being pref. ≤50mol%) and (B) pref. 0.5W150pts.wt. of a copolymer from (i) maleic acid and/or fumaric acid monoester(s) or diester(s) and (ii) an olefin (e.g., ethylene) (e.g., ethylene-maleic acid monoethyl ester copolymer).
