Abstract:
To provide a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin small in chronological change of a viscosity of sol when kneading with a plasticizer, and exhibiting excellent breaking elongation even in a molded body by low temperature processing, and an application represented by a coating agent, particularly an automotive under body coat or an automotive sealant, and the like.SOLUTION: The vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer has a content of an average vinyl acetate residue of 5-15 wt.%, where when fractionating into a low molecular weight constituent having a weight average molecular weight of 100,000 or lower and a high molecular weight constituent having a weight average molecular weight higher than 100,000, the low molecular weight constituent is a constituent having a range of a low vinyl acetate-containing constituent having a vinyl acetate residue content of less than 10 wt.%: a high vinyl acetate-containing constituent having a vinyl acetate residue content of 10 wt.% or more=1:0.5-1:1.5 (weight ratio).SELECTED DRAWING: None
