Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition useful as a binder for a lithium cell, etc., having excellent solvent resistance, adhesivity and flexibility, comprising a copolymer of a vinylpyridine and an OH-containing (meth)acrylate compound.
CONSTITUTION: This adhesive comprises a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing (A) a vinylpyridine of formula I (R1 is H, an alkyl or a halogen; R2 is H or an alkyl) (e.g. 2-vinylpyridine) with (B) an OH-containing (meth)acrylate compound of formula II (R3 is H or methyl; R4 is a 2-4C hydrocarbon residue) (e.g. 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate).
