Abstract:
To provide a virtual image optical system that can achieve good visibility despite its simple configuration.SOLUTION: A virtual image display device 100 comprises: first and second light sources 11, 21; a display element 50 that includes a display surface to display an image; and a virtual image optical system 105 that forms a virtual image of the image. First light emitted from the first light source 11 and second light emitted from the second light source 21 are incident on the display surface from directions different from each other. The virtual image optical system 105 guides the first light from the display surface to the pupil 112 to form a first virtual image 113, and guides the second light from the display surface to the pupil 112 to form a second virtual image 115 at a position different from the first virtual image 113.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
