Abstract:
This virtual image display device is provided with: a display unit; and an image control unit. The display unit has a display screen (21a) for emitting display light. The image control unit sets a first region for emitting display light toward a first viewpoint and a second region for emitting display light toward a second viewpoint, and controls the display unit so as to display parallax images based on parallax between the first and second viewpoints as a first parallax image (PI 1) in the first region and as a second parallax image (PI 2) in the second region. The image control unit displays the first and second parallax images so that the upper direction (UD) of the first parallax image differs from the upper direction (UD) of the second parallax image on the display screen.
