PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of permeability or microorganism capturing performance for a long time of usage by retaining a virus capturing substance and an antibacterial substance on the surface of a substrate to form a virus capturing composite material.
CONSTITUTION: A virus capturing substance and an antibacterial substance are retained on the surface of a substrate such an nonwoven fabric, woven fabric, knit fabric, film and porous body by using a dry process under reduced pressure, thereby forming a virus capturing composite material. The polymer contg. as a constituent thereof the monomer having a nitrogen contg. heterocyclic ring in its molecule such as 1-vinylpyrazole, 3, 5-dimethyl-1-pyrazole is suitable for use as the virus capturing substance. For use as the antibacterial substance, metal or its derivative, halogen compounds, phenol compounds and various kinds of antibiotics are available.
