Abstract:
PURPOSE: To check viruses with high efficiency without requiring any physical operation such as the operation for inserting a floppy disk into a device by constituting a virus check system of a specific terminal system and a specific central management system.
CONSTITUTION: A terminal system 102 converts a virus check program by a unidirectional function and through a unidirectional function calculation part 207 and a data transmission part 205 in order to check the addition/non-addition of a virus program. Then the system 102 sends the result of its conversion to a central management system 105. Thus the system 105 previously stores a copy of the virus check program of the system 102 in a storage part 218 and then converts the stored virus check program by the unidirectional function and through a calculation part 216 for execution of the virus check. Then the system 105 collates the result of its conversion with the conversion result of the system 102 through a collation part 217 and informs a manager of the result of this collation.
