Abstract:

To provide a method and a device for adjusting the viscosity of a viscoelastic fluid which adjust viscosity and improve productivity.

In the method and the device for adjusting the viscosity of a viscoelastic fluid, since the pressure and the temperature of an unvulcanized rubber in a first extrusion device 10 are measured and the viscosity of the unvulcanized rubber is estimated based on the measurement result, it is not necessary to cut out a rubber chip for the measurement of the viscosity of the unvulcanized rubber extruded by a first extruder 10, for example, like in the case that the viscosity of the unvulcanized rubber is measured using the well-known Mooney viscosity measuring instrument and thereby the productivity is improved. Since the processing condition of the unvulcanized rubber R in a second extrusion device 20 is controlled based on the estimated viscosity, the viscosity of the unvulcanized rubber R is adjusted.
