PURPOSE: To uniformly apply a viscous solution to a wide plane by providing a variable speed positive displacement pump pumping up the viscous solution in a container to feed the same to the base end part of an operation rod through a flexible hose and an opening and closing valve capable of opening and closing the viscous solution passage in the operation rod in the vicinity of the leading end part of the passage.

CONSTITUTION: When a viscous solution is uniformly applied to a wide plane, a worker operates the start and stop switch of the positive displacement pump 3 provided to the operation rod 1 held by his hand not only to start the driving of the positive displacement pump 3 but also to open the opening and closing valve 17 of the viscous solution passage of the lower end part 20 of the operation rod 1. Whereupon, the viscous solution sent from the pump 3 is sent to the coating nozzle 11 provided to the leading end part of the operation rod 1 through the passage in the rod 1. Since the viscous solution is continuously sent to the coating nozzle 11 in this state, the worker operates the operation rod 1 to move the coating nozzle 11 along the plane in the same manner as a vacuum cleaner and may apply the viscous solution.
