Title:
VISIBLE AND INFRARED LIGHT IMAGING OPTICAL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007334311
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a visible and infrared light imaging optical system for easily changing a wavelength of infrared light used to image an infrared video with an infrared light camera and for obtaining an infrared video not affected by infrared light of any wavelength other than a desired wavelength, by decomposing object light in an infrared light region into object lights in a plurality of wavelength regions and taking an object image formed by the object light in each wavelength region by each image pickup element, in the visible and infrared light imaging optical system which can image the same object simultaneously using visible light and infrared light.

The imaging optical system is configured to permit the object light in a visible light region to pass through a light separation prism P1 and form the object image at the image pickup element 32 of a visible light camera 10. The object light in the infrared light region is reflected by the light separation prism P1, then, made incident on the optical system of the infrared light camera 20. A light decomposing prism P2 is provided in the optical system of the infrared light camera 20. Consequently, the infrared light is decomposed into three object lights in different wavelength regions, respective object lights are made incident on three image pickup elements 36A, 36B and 36C.
