To evaluate a visual field, according to characteristics of a subject.SOLUTION: A visual field evaluation device comprises: a display part; a view point detecting part; a display control part for setting a position on the display part where the view point of the subject is detected, to a reference position, and displaying the index on the position on the display part separated from the reference position; and an evaluating part form, when the view point of the subject is moved to the display position of the index, evaluating that, the index display position is included in a visible area of the subject having the reference position as a center of the area, and when the view point of the subject is not moved to the display position of the index, evaluating that, the index display position is not included in the visible area. When continuously performing multiple times, display and evaluation of the index, the display control part displays the index in a first mode in which, difficulty of visual recognition by the subject is greater than that in a previous time, in the case of the evaluation indicating that, the index is included in the previous time, and displays the index in a second mode in which, the difficulty of visual recognition by the subject is lower than that in the previous time, in the case of the evaluation indicating that, the index is not included in the previous time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
